Oh really?

I got a bunch of emails from this one guy nearly two months ago… I wasn’t feeling like we were a good match, mostly because he seemed to be so full of himself. He couldn’t remember from one conversation to the next what I did for a living… The fact that I was a single mother… Kind of a big deal, you know?

So I blocked him from my IM list and moved on.

This week, I got this email from him:

Good afternoon, wanted to say hello and see how things are going? There is a saying that persistence pays, hoping there is some truth to that statement:) You can reach me via Yahoo IM or email, ********* Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Seriously. Dude. And what was also particularly interesting was that I knew he hadn’t even looked back at my profile. This particular dating site tells you who looked at your site and when. So he was just thumbing along through old emails that fizzled out and decided he needed to email me again.

I gave one of the stock rejection responses: “Thanks but I just don’t think we’re a good match. Take care.”

And within two minutes, the dude replied back with one of the same stock rejection repsonses, lol. “Sorry, but we’re definitely not a good fit…Good luck.”

It sure did give me the giggles… Like… “You can’t fire me! I QUIT!”
