Date Wrecks:

So, we know that the creator of eHarmony, Neil Clark Warren has ties with Focus on the Family and James Dobson.

There’s an interestingly phrased question regarding this issue:

eHarmony = eHomphobia?

All of that to say, there was a really fucking hysterical ad on OkCupid the other day.

So, don’t focus too hard on the repeat Date Wreck from Monday, look at that! The Book of Mormon?? I can’t imagine that the Mormon Church would be too keen about a dating website… But to be sure, I used my skillz to google some information on the subject.

I was shocked! Apparently, the Mormons do date online.

I guess they’re trying to hook all those non-believing OkC’ers w/ a free copy of The Book of Mormon. *shrug*

It just struck me as a really odd ad to run on a dating site.

(PS – this is why I’m so super skeptical about running ads on my site)
