So, this is a pretty special Sunday Showcase. I actually had dinner with this lovely reader last week. She was driving through Atlanta on a road trip of sorts and we made some last minute meet-up plans. Of course, now I can’t be unbiased because I consider her a friend… But even still, I think she’s the shit. Her profile rocks and she’s gorgeous. So there.
Of course, your opinion counts, too… Share in the comments what you think!

1. WHAT I LIKE TO DO
Exploring TX while I study for the bar exam, whether it’s driving around to find a frozen yogurt place or a cool wine bar, I love taking in the sites down here in the Lone Star State!!
I love to cook, bake, and am a champ on the grill. I have just re-discovered TV (no time for it while in school full-time). I like Lost and House, can’t stand law shows or reality tv. I like to work out with my trainer, hit the gym a few times a week. I enjoy playing with my dog, Baxter.
2. WHEN I GROW UP
I’d like to become a successful attorney in Texas, maybe someday a judge, and definitely pay off those student loans!
3. ME, ME, and MORE about ME
Born and raised in Philly. Was a special education teacher for 7 years. I have previously lived in TX for a span of about 2 yrs, but went to law school in New Jersey. Right now I am down here studying and looking forward to moving back to Tejas… gotta find a job here first! I’m not completely directionless or unemployed; I have a 1-yr clerkship lined up for me back on the east coast starting in Sept, but will be back and forth periodically interviewing and such. Truthfully, you wouldn’t believe how tough the job market it, even with a J.D…. so I took the sure thing which will give me, and the crumbling economy, time to rebound a bit!
And as for what makes me unique- haha! my accent!
I think I have a dynamic personality, the magnitude of which can’t even begin to be clear over the internet. I am quite clever and funny in a cynical type of way and definitely am the type of woman who tells it like it is; I do not sugar-coat it.
I am equal parts girlie-girl (think JUne Cleaver baking a cake, love to dress up for a night out in heels, etc) and can be one of the guys too… (love to go to football games, drink an ice-cold beer) That being said though, since I’m a city-gal, I am not into some outdoorsy stuff that I know some guys do enjoy- like 4 wheeling, hunting, fishing, camping, things with bugs or rodents, places without air conditioning or running water. Totally cool if you are into that kinda stuff, just don’t expect to “convert” me. In return, I won’t try and teach Texans how to use turn signals when switching lanes nor will I try and “convert” you into a Phila. Eagles fan
4. taste in music
completely diverse- different music for different moods… country, r&b, rock, etc.
5. If you’d like to contact me, just as an aside…
–I’m a complete grammar nerd and yes, I will allow it to reflect negatively upon you…
–I’m on here because I would like to meet a good man, not a car, not a motorcycle, not some mountains, or dogs playing in the grass… this isn’t Craigslist and it’s not photography class either! Save the landscapes for another day.
–Speaking of pictures, if you are a proud father or dedicated uncle demonstrate that by having the decency to protect the child’s identity by blurring/cropping the child’s face. Trust me when I say I am not impressed if you pose with kid.
–Oooh! Last one… please prove to me that you actually HAVE friends (or hell, paid a homeless man) by having him/her take a picture for you. Friends DON’T let friends take mirror shots!First Date
stereotypical: drinks, maybe dinner… always with the option for a quick exit if it sucks.Soo… survey says? I HATE how bitty the pictures are on POF. That’s my only real complaint. But, like I said… I’m totally biased here!
Second dates deserve more planning and attention and are a little more elaborate… but that’s because at that point you have some general idea if you can stand to be around the person for more than 10 minutes.
