This girl. Aw. You guys. She’s adorable. Just so sweet and cute. And GREEN eyes!

My Self Summary
Hi there, I’m nineteen years old. I have a valid driver’s license, a clean record, and currently live with roommates.
I’m a girl that’s pretty easy to get along with. I’m not a fan of fighting or drama for the sake of drama – I think we all got enough of that in high school. So if you’re still in that high school mentality, please move along.
I like hiking, yoga, swimming, running, bike riding, dancing – just staying in shape, because it’s fun. Fitness and exercise is important to me, and hopefully to you. I’m definitely not a complete health nut, though, because I’m addicted to chocolate and fried foods. I like to think the exercise balances out my not-as-healthy-as-it-should-be diet.
I love learning and pursuing new things. Learning and immersing myself in other cultures is a particular favorite pastime of mine. I think the different cultures and belief systems of the world are fascinating, and it’s important to be educated in the ways and ideas of other people.
So, one thing you should know about me is that I’m not good at hiding my feelings. During a scary movie, I’m the one hiding behind a pillow while they all laugh at the bad effects. I also tend to blush a lot. On the plus side, I also laugh easily and I have a good sense of humor.
(but don’t worry – I don’t get angry or upset very easily, because I have a lot of patience. Thank my siblings for that.)
I’m of Greek descent, and my heritage is pretty important to me. I’m Greek Orthodox, and I am very involved in the local Greek community. What I’m doing with my life
Working on my future.
When I’m older, and have more income: I want to travel the world (I know, 9 out of 10 people say this). I want to see Asia, Europe, Africa,Australia… basically hit all the continents.
I’m also working on getting citizenship from Canada, so I can have duel citizenship.I’m really good at
Listening to others- I’m more on the quiet side, and I like helping people which made me the person to go if you needed a shoulder to cry to in high school. My friends still come to me for help often, because I listen without judging and I’m (usually) pretty good at giving them sensible suggestions.
Reading- I’m an avid reader. One of my nicknames in high school was bookworm, and I read about two to three books a week. I’m not somebody who will force her partner to do the same, though.
Working hard- I won’t claim I’m good at everything I try. Nobody is. But what I am good at is trying my best whenever I try something new, or something I’ve doing for a while.
Anything to do with history- I’m hardly a history buff, but I love learning about the past, and the many ways the lessons of history can be applied to the present.
Art- I love art, and anything creative. I might not be the best artist, but it’s fun and that’s what really matters. Three of my favorite artists are Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Jackson Pollock. I believe that art can be found everywhere, and that you are only limited by your imagination. The first things people notice about me
my height, probably, because I’m on the short side. Though I’m often told it’s my eyes. They also probably notice me tripping or running into something (I have a bit of a clumsy side).
My favorite books, movie, music and food
I have a thing for fluffy music, and stuff I can dance to. I also have a love for oldies.
14 favorite artists:
Lady Gaga, The Academy Is…, Ben Lee, the Cardigans, Cobra Starship, Reel Big Fish, Kaiser Chiefs, Steve Miller Band, Panic! at the Disco, Zebrahead, The Ting Tings, ABBA, Ray Charles, Eartha Kitt
15 favorite movies:
Mamma Mia!, Cat Ballou, The Last Unicorn, The Mummy, The Breakfast Club, Oliver and Company, Pleasantville, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Titanic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Brokedown Palace,Edward Scissorhands, Jawbreaker, The Philadelphia Story, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
I’m a sucker for romance and tearjerker movies, though I also like thrillers and horror. I’ll also watch anything with Mila Kunis, Gillian Anderson, orAmanda Seyfried in it, and anything directed by Tim Burton.
6 favorite TV shows:
That 70′s Show, Star Trek, X-Files, The Venture Bros, Futurama, andThe Soup.
I also love a lot of the stuff on the History Channel and Animal Planet, and most of the stuff on Adult Swim.
I watch some anime, though not as much as I used to. I’m more into manga.
10 favorite books/series:
Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu
Sirena by Donna Jo Napoli
Splendid Slippers by Beverley Jackson
The Anything Box by Zenna Henderson
Go Ask Alice by anonymous
Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan
Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich
Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Raws
The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder
Some favorites authors include Stephen King (I’m attempting to collect all of his books), Lois Duncan, Antonia Fraser, Dean Koontz, Richard Matheson, Ayn Rand, Philippa Gregory, and Lisa Jackson.
I tend to go for superficial fiction (romance and thrillers), and historical non-fiction. I despise the Twilight series and think it sets a poor, unrealistic, and possibly dangerous example for young girls.
I read a ton of manga – my favorite manga-ka is the great Rumiko Takahashi.
I love Greek food, Italian food, and Pan Asian food. I also have a fondness for chocolate and fondue. The six things I could never do without
I could never be who I am without my faith, my family and friends, love, money, and chocolate.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my future, my present, God, time, ethics, love, why people do what they do, why I do what I do, the state of the world… I’m a daydreamer, and I tend to think a lot, and over think.
On a typical Friday night I am
hmmm, who knows?
I could be out on a date, out with my friends, hanging out downtown, curled up at home with a good book… my schedule is always changing. The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Sometimes… I eat raw cookie dough.
You should message me if
If you think we’ll get on well.
If you know the difference between piqued, peeked, and peaked![]()
Or if you love eegees and Bookmans.
I love it. I think the only thing that I would lose is the first line. Having a license and a clean record? I kind of think that would be pretty basic, you know? You’re a bright girl and I think that sentence, particularly right at the beginning — even in jest — dumbs you down.
Also, green eyes! We are a exquisite and lovely rare breed, aren’t we?

I like it – she’s definitely putting the important stuff out there – her faith, her love of exercise, her willingness to try new things… and that she’s looking for someone similarly minded… my nit-pick? its “dual-citizenship” (not “duel” – unless she’s planning on taking up sword fighting in canada!).
Also, I think she should be consistent in her use (or non-use) of capitals. Either don’t cap anything, or do it ALL the right way.
Other than that, she gave a nice sense of who she is and what she’s like.

She really is adorable! My one thing is the little bits of self deprecation (“I’m no history buff…” “I may not be the best artist”).

Ha! I noticed the duel/dual thing, too. Kinda undercuts the whole “know the difference between piqued, peeked, and peaked” thing.
Maybe she feels conflicted about being half-American and half-Canadian. (See what I did there? duel citizenship? Conflicted? Ha!)

Cute as a button, though she may not want to hear that.

She seems like a nice girl, so she definitely needs to get off those scuzbag sites like OKStupid that will expose her to the seamy, (seamiest), underbelly of humanity.
Not sayin she’s not capable of holding her own, but I shudder to think if it was my 19 yr old daughter. She looks too young and too sweet to experience all the wonders and horrors that await on the interweb.

See, I get that… I do. But not EVERYONE online is doing it because they’re socially retarded and may or may not have a peg leg hiding in their boot.
[batting my eyelashes] I mean, I’M on OkStupid…

I think this one might be a winner. She is really cute, and she seems fairly interesting and intelligent.
I’ve always dismissed those sites as being all freaks and the socially awkward but this chick seems alright.

She is adorable!
Though I must admit its seems a little intense with her “love” of so many things.
I’d be happy to have her as a fellow canuck!

An attractive, normal, 19-year-old should reeeeeaally just try to be social in normal social situations (which are typically abundant for a 19-year-old) and meet people that way. Even if OKCupid was filled with nothing but normal people. Just my opinion.
(also, the chances are very very good that several of her male friends right now have secret crushes on her.. give that a shot
)

Completely putting aside the fact that she isn’t that cute here are the problems that I see:
1) all of her pictures just yell internet tumblr sort of girl. Lip puckering? Ironic or not it’s not a good face to put on.
2) She states she isn’t into high school drama or fighting yet she references things about herself “i was told so and so in high school,” or “my nick name in high school was…” and all of her interests, fav. books are high school reading seems very… high school. It seems a little silly that her time and personality reference is high school.
3)She sounds irritating to me. seriously.

Well see, Stan… This is where you must be missing the point here. I’m not putting up reader profiles to parade them around as the BEST match for (proverbial) YOU. I’m putting them up as examples of folks who have profiles that are normal and well thought through and well written.
Of course she mentions high school. She was probably IN high school no less than six months ago. You pull from your life experience, if high school is all you’ve got, it’s all you’ve got. We were all nineteen once, gingerly fingering the cuffs on our letter jackets and twisting our class rings on skinny knuckles.
Input on these posts is always welcome, but dude. Don’t harp on her and say she’s irritating without really even pinpointing why. If you’ve got criticism, bring it. But just because you don’t like her, you should keep that shit to yourself.

I read Craigslist personals for laughs and found your site…it’s like Craiglist’s Greatest Hits…and then some! Yay!
This girl is a total babe…HOWEVER…in my pre-married days, I learned the hard way never to trust an ad in which all pictures are close-mouthed. Gold teeth? Brown teeth? No teeth? The possibilities are, unfortunately, endless.

*wince* oooh yea. reminds me of my date back in the winter with McWeirdBeard — he was an adorable, kind of dorky hipster…
With black lines around the edges of his teeth. GAG.

She despises Twilight. That makes her acceptable right off the bat.
And poor S.tan is ragging on a sweet, intelligent young girl because he knows he’ll never be able to get near anything of her quality.
