“(They were all asking for it)” pretty much says it all. I wish he had entered a long spiel about his finding God, although the cell phone picture of his pirate costume, probably taken in the parking lot of a 7/11 at 3am, makes up for his lack of words – and proper grammar (“I’m not really that bad OF person”).

For some stupid reason, it’s his use of “They” that bothers me the most. The multiple molestations. Of course it’s their fault, and not the big, scary, greasy, hairy douchebag guy. And the Ren-Faire shirt…I’ve seen guys like this around Ren-Faire and SCA events, and often some inner instinct makes people steer well clear. But not always.

Yep, the “They” “all” bothers me even more than the asking for it.
And I’m with Jaime on the NO! I don’t think I could even date a convicted child molester (of multiple children) who’d voluntarily done multiple therapies/groups/etc for trying to repair his psyche and who admitted that it was a wrong and awful thing for him to have done and was truly sorry. As a married person with no kids and none on the horizon, I might be able to befriend such a person but not date or plan a future with. The recidivism rate is too high.

Oh dear god..
I’ve been fixed up by someone to a guy I later found out was a child molester. Needless to say, I dumped him not too long after I found out. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would date/marry anyone like this guy unless they were just as deranged as he is.

There’s no way this is real. People are required by law to report to certain authorities/landlords/websites/job apps/whatever that they were convicted of child molestation. They are not required by anyone to report in on a DATING PROFILE. This is someone’s idea of a joke, probably after finding that pic of some random dude, or it’s their ex or something.

There’s always this sort of suspension in my mind… Like… If it isn’t real, okay… That’s a fair assessment for half of the profiles out there.
But I always wonder, is that our reason telling us that it isn’t real or just our hopes? Do we just HOPE that this isn’t real? Or is it reasonable to think it’s not?
It’s all subjective. My stance on the “it’s a revenge post”/”this can’t be real” stuff is that EVEN if it’s not real, they’re still wrecks.
This one just blew my fucking mind. I … I mean, it really did.
